Solutions Sales Executive

  • Work Area: Sales

Purpose and Objectives

Will be responsible of sales and market share growth and positioning of Secon's services and technology products within mid to large corporate customers.

Expectation and Tasks

Participate in a team-selling environment.

Identifying and qualifying opportunities to support the execution of the account strategy and focus on the generation of target service revenue and product gross margin.

Facilitating and maintaining successful relationships with Secon customers, in addition to working through our installed base, the incumbent is expected to pursue net new opportunities elsewhere.

Position Secon and its services to win sales opportunities by executing and communicating effective selling strategies.

Routinely discuss and communicate solutions strategy with members of the Management Team.

Maintain an accurate and documented CRM pipeline of opportunities (prospects and suspects) and provide appropriate of such to the Management Team.

Continuously gather knowledge of Secon's technology partner's product portfolio and of competitive manufacturing partners, and how to effectively position Secon's core solutions against them.

Leverage and effectively communicate Secon's value proposition to broaden Secon's footprint.

Maintain appropriate levels of customer issues requiring resolution.

Education and Qualification

Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, Engineering or equivalent.

Strong negotiation skills.

Provide accurately and timely updates in both large and small deals.

Ability to identify, qualify & prioritise opportunities.

Strong product knowledge of Trend Micro, Juniper Networks and Websense.

Minimum of 2 years sales experience within the IT Security and Networking industry, preferably within the corporate reseller or systems integration space.

Has carried a quota of £200,000 or upwards of gross margin or service revenue

Technical Consultant – Trend Micro Specialist

Purpose and Objectives

Will be responsible for scoping, supporting and the delivery of Trend Micro services and products within Secon’s customers, with the aim of driving high customer satisfaction levels.

Expectation and Tasks

Participate in a team environment.

Scoping and qualifying customer requirements to support their technical objectives.

Facilitating and maintaining successful relationships with Secon’s customers.

Providing technical assistance on all of Trend Micro's range of products installed and/or configured on any supported Windows platforms.

Support on malware related issues, the support will be provided to Secon’s customers via various means of communication such as phone, email and web tools.

Provision of detailed and accurate guidance on the use of Trend Micro products to supported customer base.

Implementation of Trend Micro products and solutions with effective customer skills required in person and online to ensure the highest level of customer satisfaction by understanding and identifying the customers complex network.

Effectively interact with the engineering team to provide solutions to complex technical issues.
Share best practices with team members to enhance the quality and efficiency of support and project delivery.

Maintain and expand working knowledge of current Trend Micro products as well as their integration and methods of support delivery.

Education and Qualification

Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Mathematics related subject, Engineering or equivalent.

2-5 years of experience with implementing and troubleshooting Trend Micro Products across the entire portfolio.

4-5 years basic knowledge of Microsoft Windows 2003/2008 or UNIX (AS/400 or S390) Operating Systems.

Significant experience in one or more of the following: Server/Desktop Operating Systems, Networking Architecture, Messaging Servers, Firewalls, Inter-relational Products and Peripherals customised to each client network.

Significant experience in basic troubleshooting and management experience in multi-protocol (TCP/IP) routed network environment.

Strong multi-tasking and problem resolution abilities.

Ability to effectively work with, instruct or guide customers onsite, online and via the telephone.

Ability to manage own time effectively.

Quick learner with desire to learn new tools, products (Juniper Networks and Websense) and techniques.

Strong verbal and written communication skills, customer service and account management skills with the ability to interface with a diverse set of clients.

Fluent in English.

Our graduate programme is designed to give you immediate hands-on exposure, gaining on the job training from highly-respected professionals including Security Engineers, Networking Consultants, Commercial Account Managers and Project Managers. You will not spend your time moving from department to department; instead you’ll be doing real work within your allocated team. We offer a comprehensive training programme combining in-house courses along with the opportunity to study professional industry qualifications for which you will be fully supported financially.

The aim of our Graduate Scheme is to create a talent pool of future leaders within our business. This is a fantastic opportunity and an exciting time to join Secon, in a time of focussed growth. The Programme

Our scheme provides a broad, deep spectrum of technology learning and offers a clear path from Support Engineer to a choice of Senior Consultant, Solutions Architect or Technical Account Manager. Three key vendor modules thread through your training: Juniper Networks, Trend Micro and Websense, that enable you to build and sharpen your business, technical and project delivery skills. The knowledge you gain on the helpdesk and through to on-site project implementation will be put into practice on technically challenging work.

Entry Requirements

To apply for this challenging but rewarding role you will need to have or expect to obtain at least a 2:1 or above Bachelor Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics related subject, Engineering or equivalent. Strong verbal and written communication skills, Fluent in English.
