Websense ; Service Pack 4 for On Demand Service Goes Live on November 11th
As part of ongoing improvements to the quality and usability of our ODS infrastructure, Service Pack 4 for MailControl™ v4.5 and WebDefense™ v2.3 will be released on November 11th. Although this is mainly a maintenance release, it also introduces important performance and usability improvements to the MailControl Message Center.
Summary of Changes in SP4:
1. The Message Center now has the following enhancements:
(a) The Message Center is more efficient. Message Center processing no longer waits until one action has completed before an administrator can perform another action. Users can now request message forward and release actions and continue working without waiting for the first action to complete (for large organizations this used to take a bit of time).
(b) The Message Center gives more history details. The Message Center now provides a history of the actions performed on a quarantined message, adding important new information to the audit trail.
(c) The Message Center has faster overall performance. The Message Center can now perform much more quickly and save administrator time.
2. The word “Huntsman” will begin to be changed to “ThreatSeeker”.
3. Numerous customer issues and bug fixes are resolved.
Communication Plan for Service Pack 4:
- Release notes will be made available in the ODS portal for both customers and channel partners.
- Emails will be sent to customer email administrators.
Notification of the changes will be posted in the “Message of the Day” area of the ODS portal.
